Based on current evidence, it seems reasonable to conclude that internet use can have both positive and negative effects. Nevertheless, caution is advised before giving children extensive access to the internet at a young age, as well as before utilising the internet as a key learning instrument in a child’s education, as there is some evidence to suggest that the cognitive development of some children may be harmed by prolonged internet use. Overall, more research is needed to draw more precise conclusions.
